The governors are responsible for agreeing school policies, strategic planning, setting and monitoring the budget, staffing policy and quality assurance. This is achieved through the formal governing body meetings, one per term, together with committee meetings.
There are four committees: Pupils and Personnel, Finance and General Purposes, Standards and Curriculum, Health and Safety.
Each committee is responsible for monitoring one strand of the School Improvement Plan. Each committee meets once a term although the Finance committee meets more often nearer to budget setting time. The Health and Safety Committee meets termly to monitor and implement procedures relating to the school and premises. The Governors have claimed no expenses this year

The Chair of Governors is Mrs Helen Hodson with Mrs Jeanne Mosey as Deputy Chair. Currently there are 18 governors serving the school. The composition is:
